Gunnison City Council Vacancy
Gunnison City currently has a vacancy on the Gunnison City Council due to the resignation of one of its members. The vacancy will be filled at the special Gunnison City Council meeting scheduled on Wednesday April 28, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. at the Gunnison City Hall by appointment of the city Council and in accordance with state law (UCA 20A-1-510). This term of position will be from April 28, 2021 to January 5, 2022. Those who wish to be considered for this City Council position are encouraged to print an application from the link below, or pick one up from Jodi Henline, City Treasurer or Steven Jenson, City Recorder at City Hall. Applications must be delivered to City Hall or emailed to stevenj@gunnisoncity.org by April 23, 2021 at 3:00 p.m.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A CANDIDATE ARE:
(UCA 10-3-301; 20A-9-203)

1. Be a United States Citizen

2. Be a registered voter of the municipality
3. Be a resident of the municipality for a period of 12 consecutive months immediately before the date of the election
4. Must not be a convicted felon, unless their right to hold elective office has been restored

GUNNISON CITY BUDGET HEARINGS

 

Notice is hereby given of consecutive Public Hearings to be held on the
proposed 2020-2021 fiscal year operating and capital budgets for
Gunnison City along with the Enterprise Fund Transfers,
and to reopen the 2019-2020 Budget.  The hearings will be held on
Wednesday, June 17, 2020 at the Gunnison City Hall, 38 West Center.
The Public Hearings are scheduled as follows:

 

          7:00 pm Reopen the 2019-2020 Budget

 

          7:15 pm Enterprise Fund Transfer

 

          7:30 pm Proposed 2020-2021 Budget

 

The 2020-2021 budget contains a transfer from the Utility Fund
to the General Fund of not more than $380,000. This transfer represents
approximately 23% of the total Utility Fund expenditures.
All interested parties are invited to attend.

 

In compliance with the ADA, those citizens in need of assistance
may contact City Offices at 435-528-7969 at least 48 hours
prior to the scheduled meeting.

Specific Enterprise Fund Information:

GUNNISON CITY BUDGET HEARINGS

 

Notice is hereby given that the Gunnison City Council approved the
2020-2021 budget on Wednesday, June 17, 2020 as Resolution 2020-5.
The 2020-2021 budget contains transfers
from the Utility Fund to the General Fund of $369,280.00. This transfer represents
approximately 22.22% of the total Utility Fund expenditure.
Administrative and overhead costs allocated were $27,000 which represents
approximately 1% of the total Utility Fund expenditure.

 

The cost accounting breakdown for
the Specific Enterprise Fund is as follows:

 

Administrative & Overhead costs allocated:
audit and accounting $14,500 to #518131 and $12,500 to #518231.
Other none associated costs are as follows: $90,000 from account #517911
for charges made to the General Fund by the Water Fund for water
used on the parks (the Water Fund then returns the charges to the
General Fund through a transfer of the same amount), and
$279,280.00 from account #517913 from the Water Fund to the General Fund.
