Gunnison City is
accepting applications for a (Application Period Extended)
Minimum qualifications Must be a POST certified category 1 Peace Officer. Must have a minimum of three years of law enforcement experience. Must work well with Youth and be willing to work odd and often long or split shifts. If you do not currently hold certifications as a DARE Officer and as a School Resource Officer must be willing to complete this training. Applicants who posses any or all of the following may be given preference. Certification by NASRO or equivalent as a
School Resource Officer. Past / Present experience in the position of a School
Resource Officer. Certification as a DARE Officer. Experience working with
youth in a law enforcement capacity. This is a full time Law Enforcement position with benefits. The successful applicant will be required to reside in the Gunnison / Centerfield area. The Salary range for this position is $15.00 - $18.00 / hr plus benefits.
